We started with one bad decanter
The first one we owned was thin, light, and cloudy inside within a year. It looked fine in a photo and cheap in the hand. That gap — between how barware photographs and how it actually feels — is the reason Decantly exists.
We run out of Chicago, Illinois, and we keep the range deliberately small. Every piece we list is one we'd put on our own bar cart: lead-free crystal, enough weight in the base to sit properly, a stopper that seats without fighting you, and cuts deep enough to actually catch light. If a piece doesn't clear that bar, we don't stock it, however good the margin looks.
We're also clear about what we are: a glassware shop. Decantly does not sell or ship alcohol. Every decanter arrives empty, and what goes in it is entirely your business.
Four things we don't bend on
Lead-free only
We don't carry traditional leaded crystal. Everything we stock is safe for long-term spirit storage.
Packed like glass
Double-boxed with insured tracking. If it breaks in transit, that's our problem to fix, not yours.
30-day returns
Unused, in original packaging, no interrogation. Email us first and we'll send the return address.
Honest listings
Real photos, stated capacities, no invented reviews or countdown timers. If we don't know a spec, we say so.
Not collectors, mostly
- People finishing a home bar and tired of the bottle sitting out
- Gift buyers who want one good object instead of a gift set
- Whiskey and tequila drinkers who care how a pour looks and lands
- Anyone replacing a decanter that clouded, chipped or wouldn't seal
